Located on Voyageur Island, Nym Lake, Ontario, Canada, VWP is on the boundary of Quetico Park. On the same lake as Batchewaung Portage we're only ½ mile from the Park's entry point. We’re approximately 9 miles from Atikokan, ON. Our unique island location also features tranquil accommodations, shower-house, lake-front sauna, lockers/vault, our “Trading Post” (souvenir shop) and Quetico’s authorized issuer. We are open seven days a week from May 15th through September 15th. We look forward to hosting you in our traditional Voyageur spirit!

Traveling by car:
Voyageur Wilderness Programme is located on an island on scenic Nym Lake in Northwestern Ontario, Canada.
You can get to Nym Lake, 9 miles east of Atikokan, from Canadian Hwy #11 . Turn on to Nym Lake road to Quetico Park’s Nym Lake entry point (second road on the left). Once you arrived at the entry station phone us at 807-597-2450 for free water taxi service to our island.

Traveling by plane:
International Falls, Minnesota is the closest U.S. city to Quetico. Major airlines (Northwest) fly to International Falls, MN, U.S.A. and to Thunder Bay, ON, Canada. There are rental cars or van shuttle options available. Thunder Bay is 120 miles east of Atikokan, and International Falls is 90 miles west of Atikokan. Bus transportation is also available or inquire about our rates for pick up.
